Richard Bray
Founding partner
Joint founding partner of Bray & Krais. An assistant solicitor at Denton Hall
from 1989, before joining John Kennedy’s practice in 1991. Awarded, among other
prizes, the Clements Inn Prize for Best Honours Candidate (1986) and the Travers
Smith Scholarship (1986) in the 1986 Solicitors Final Examination. Represents
a large selection of high profile clients, from major recording artists, to management
companies and independent record labels. Admitted in 1989.

Mark Krais
Founding partner
Joint founding partner of Bray & Krais. Trained at Theodore Goddard, before joining
John Kennedy as a newly qualified solicitor. Graduated from Lady Margaret Hall,
Oxford with a first class honours degree in Jurisprudence in 1990. Clients include
major artists, event production companies, major and independent record and publishing
companies, advertising agencies, PR companies, brands and charities. Admitted in 1993.

Simon Dixon
Partner
Joined Bray & Krais in November 2006. Graduated from Warwick University (Economics degree) in 1992.
Advises clients across the entertainment and media industries, with particular expertise in the areas
of music and theatre. Previously Head of Legal and Business Affairs at a leading Theatrical Production
company and now advises many producers, theatre owners and managers, investors, agents and media
personalities, as well as recording artists and writers. A director of HQ Theatres. Admitted in 1997.

Robin Davis
Consultant
Joined Bray & Krais as a consultant in 2004. An assistant solicitor at K E Davis &
Sons in 1977, before becoming a senior partner in 1988. Graduated from Leicester University
with a degree in Law in 1974. Expertise in corporate and employment issues, including company
formations and winding up, share sales and buy back, company reorganisations, tax planning,
partnership agreements, shareholders’ agreements and joint ventures, as well as employment
contracts for all personnel up to Board level. Admitted in 1977.

Ailish McKenna
Solicitor
Graduated in Law at Queen's University, Belfast in 2000 and obtained a Masters in Law
from the University of London in 2001. Joined Bray & Krais as a paralegal in 2001 and
also trained with Bray & Krais, including a secondment to Olswang practising intellectual property
in the Media Communications and Technology Department. Advises and assists primarily on
recording, publishing, management, endorsement, live work and high-profile events. Admitted in 2005.

Ben Siddall
Solicitor
Joined Bray & Krais in March 2006. Obtained a BA(Hons) in Music from Newcastle
University in 1999 and completed the CPE at City University and the LPC at BPP Law School.
Trained at Campbell Hooper Solicitors and EMI Records before joining Statham Gill Davies
as a newly qualified solicitor. Has assisted with advising a number of recordings artists,
composers, managers, producers, recording and publishing companies, event production companies
and charities. Works with unsigned bands and artists, advising on career development and
general music industry issues. Admitted in 2005.

Ben Gisbey
Solicitor
Joined Bray & Krais in September 2008. Graduated in Law at the University
of Southampton in 2002. Trained at Denton Wilde Sapte LLP, including experience
in the Media and Intellectual Property and Corporate Departments and a
secondment to ABN AMRO Bank. Qualified into the Corporate Department,
practising a broad range of corporate work particularly in the technology,
media and telecoms sector. Worked for record companies and as a sound
engineer prior to and during university. Admitted in 2006.

David Manlow

Joined Bray & Krais in September 2008. Obtained a degree in law from
Nottingham University in 2003 and subsequently completed the LPC with
distinction at BPP Law School, London. Trained at media firm Olswang before
joining Bray & Krais as a newly qualified solicitor. Previously spent
three years working in the Legal and Business Affairs department at EMI
and Virgin Records. Admitted in 2008.
