Bray & Krais Summer Vacation Scheme 2026
Applications are now open
Bray & Krais is now inviting applications for its 2026 Summer Vacation Scheme, a one-week, in-person programme based at our Fulham offices.
The scheme is designed for candidates who want genuine exposure to a specialist law firm operating at the intersection of music, sports and entertainment, and who are ready and able to take up employment with the firm within 12 months of the scheme.
This is not a generalist insight programme. It is aimed at individuals who are serious about beginning their legal careers in a focused, commercial practice, and who want to understand what working in a boutique firm is really like.
The Scheme
Over the course of the week, participants will gain hands-on insight into how Bray & Krais advises clients across its core practice areas, including:
- Commercial music
- Branding and IP
- Sports
- Private client
- Litigation
- Corporate
You will work alongside lawyers across the firm, observe matters as they progress in real time, and see how our teams collaborate to support clients across the music, sports and entertainment industries.
During the scheme you will work both individually and collaboratively with the other scheme participants, including preparation of a group presentation on a topic relevant to the work done at Bray & Krais which you will present to a panel of Partners.

FAQs
Who is this scheme aimed at?
The scheme is aimed at candidates who are close to entering the profession and who expect to be able to start work with the firm within 12 months of Summer 2026.
Do I need to have completed the SQE?
No. Employment with the firm following the scheme may take place alongside study for the SQE.
Is this a paid scheme?
The scheme is not paid, but we will cover reasonable daily travel expenses within London (Zones 1-9). Please include on your application form if you require any financial assistance to be able to participate on the scheme.
Is the scheme in person?
Yes. The scheme is delivered in person at our Fulham offices.
Does completing the scheme form part of the application process for a full-time role?
There is no guarantee of an offer of employment. However, the scheme is intended to identify individuals who may be well suited to a role as a junior fee earner at Bray & Krais, and it is designed to give both you and the firm a realistic understanding of whether Bray & Krais is the right fit.
Can I apply if I am still studying?
Yes, provided you will have completed your degree by the time the vacation scheme takes place and can take up employment within 12 months.
When will I hear the outcome of my application?
We will not review any application until after the deadline of 31 March 2026 has passed, after which we will notify all applicants of the outcome of their application. If your application is selected for the next round, you will be invited to participate in a short video-call interview. Vacation scheme places will be offered to successful applicants after the video interview stage. Interviews will be held in April and May, with final decisions to be made as soon possible thereafter.
Will you give me feedback on my application?
Due to the volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide feedback on application form answers.
What if I require adjustments to be made to allow me to participate in the recruitment process or on the vacation scheme itself?
Bray & Krais want to ensure that all candidates are treated fairly and can participate fully in our recruitment process. As part of the application form you will be asked to inform us if you require any reasonable adjustments or additional considerations, including disability-related adjustments, access needs, or support to attend a next-stage video-call interview, or to attend the vacation scheme placement in person. Any information you provide will be kept confidential and will not be used as part of the selection decision.
If you have any questions relating to the vacation scheme (which are not answered above) please contact bandk@brayandkrais.com, including ‘2026 Vacation Scheme’ in the subject line.
